In his 9 years of banking experience George W. Cooper III (“Trey”) has been a multi-million dollar producer and President’s Club achiever. He has closed over $80 million dollars in retail home loans. His last six years have been spent focusing strictly on retail mortgage loans, Residential Construction loans, and 203k FHA Renovation loans. Currently Trey oversees Production of the Mortgage Production in Norfolk, VA.
Trey has held an inactive real estate license with the Virginia Real Estate Board since 2000. An active real estate investor, he understands the need to know the market and to provide streamlined transactions for his clients. Trey was the Beazlie Scholarship recipient at Hampden-Sydney College from 1996-2000, receiving his B.S. in 2000. Prior to attending Hampden-Sydney, he graduated with his Advanced Studies diploma at Norfolk Collegiate School.
An Olympic Development Player for the state of Virginia, Trey set school records in soccer at both Norfolk Collegiate and Hampden-Sydney. He feels his team approach to the mortgage business stems in part from his athletic background.
Trey teams with Jenny Berry (Asst.), Kitty Roghair (Processor), and Tammy Fiske (Closing) to provide superior customer service for his clients and agents. His team has been in tack for over five years and is one of the highest producing groups in Tidewater, with over 90% of their business coming from referrals from agents, builders, and past clients.
Trey has taught the first time homebuyer course for Virginia Housing Development Authority, VHDA, and works closely with the Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority, NRHA, to provide grant money and down payment assistance for his borrowers. He is also a member of the TMBA, Tidewater Mortgage Bankers Association.
He is currently a preferred lender for the Culpepper Landing Development, the Riverview Condos in Norfolk, and numerous other high quality projects.
